John: The Prayer, Pt. 3

In the final part of Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer (John 17:20-26) we hear him intercede for US. This is amazing – especially knowing that Jesus has never stopped praying these kinds of prayers on behalf of his true followers. We hear him ask for unity among his disciples in every era, and we learn that our unity is based on our shared union with God. We share in life together because we all share in being loved by God the Father, Son, and Spirit! Let’s lean in to listen to Jesus’ prayer for us and let’s allow it to call us to new levels of obedience, knowing that Jesus is still praying for us right now!
