John: Belief & Unbelief

This week we begin a long, behind-the-scenes tour of Jesus’ mental, emotional, and spiritual preparations for the cross. At this point (John 12:36b), the Lord has said all that he came to say to the crowds, and his public preaching ministry has concluded. But first we hear Jesus, again, make very clear that his message and ministry has always been, essentially, his Father’s message and ministry to the world. His was a life of simple obedience to the Father’s will. It was always about the Father’s will and glory! Jesus’ words will prove to be a complex interwoven tapestry, the threads of which are salvation and judgment, sovereignty and responsibility. Join us as we hear the heart and message of Jesus and consider afresh whether we have a heart of belief or unbelief.
