This is the weekend that the Global Church shouts in unison “Jesus is ALIVE! Sunday is coming!” But first comes Good Friday. For all that could be said about Roman executioners and illegal Jewish trials, the truth is that Jesus died for us in our place. He paid a debt He did not owe to give us life we do not deserve. But none of this means anything if not for Sunday morning when, despite being buried in a cold, dark tomb, he did not remain there! Being far more powerful than sin and death and hell, He overcame it all and burst out of the tomb fully and forever alive. And because of that comeback, we too can be fully and forever ALIVE!
